#TerrorTrailerTuesday: The “Super Monsters” Edition

Ho-wdy, Ho-rror Junkies!
Look, up in the sky! It’s a bat! It’s a demon! No, it’s #TerrorTrailerTuesday!

This week, we’re paying tribute to ho-rrific superheroes who fight for truth, justice, and the A-Scare-ican Slay!

Y’know, fiends, movie monsters and comic book heroes have much more in common than we s-care to admit. Both are often depicted as social misfits, are usually created through some bizarre accident, wear a theatrical outfit with a cape and/or mask, and have fabulous powers. The main difference between superheroes and monsters is whether they use their abilities to save or to terrorize. Well, the creeps in today’s trailers like to do a little bit o’ both!

We’ve gathered up the best trailers featuring creatures who walk the line between costumed crusader and monstrous fiend! Grotesque avengers, slimy saviors, mystic masters, demonic defenders, and more lurk in the trailers below!

Check ’em out, Kinky Kreeps! 🙂 xoxo

#TerrorTrailerTuesday: The “King of the Silver Scream” Edition

Telekinetic creeps, ghosts, things from the grave, killer cars, werewolves, and the Devil himself… these trailers prove that King knows how to show a ghoul a good time! 🙂
Let the trailers begin!!!!!!

and my personal favorite…

Hail to the King, Baby!

#TerrorTrailerTuesday: The “Invisible Touch” Edition

Ho-wdy, Ho-rror Ho-mies!

On this #TerrorTrailerTuesday, we’re paying tribute to a groovy cat who’s real outtasight…

Yes, it’s the Invisible Man, the villain beyond vision! The fiend who can’t be seen! The scourge of locker rooms everywhere! H.G. Wells’ Fantastic Sensation!

While we take it for granted these days, the idea of the invisible man is truly frightening (and ho-rnifying… ;)) one. To quote Claude Rains as the invisible one, “An invisible man can rule the world. Nobody will see him come, nobody will see him go. He can hear every secret. He can rob, and rape, and kill!” I mean, there’s a reason that ho-rror filmmakers have been telling Invisible Man stories for decades now. The threat has all the malevolence and cunning of a sinister genius, but with no way of detecting him.

Of corpse, others have seen the funny side of this kinky kreep. After all, the Invisible Man can’t be invisible without going… au naturel. I daresay there are just as many Invisible Man comedies as there are terror tales. Even James Whale’s The Invisible Man is loaded with large helpings of black comedy. Guess you can’t spell “slaughter” without “laughter”… 😉

Whether you like him scary, silly, or just plain seXXXy, it’s as clear as the monster himself that the Invisible Man is a true icon.
So without further a-BOO, here are the terrifying trailers to top off your #TerrorTuesday. 🙂 xoxo

Ho-rrificly Ho-rnifying Bonus: The seXXXy scene that launched a zillion Invisible Man fantasies (at least for me ;)).

#TerrorTrailerTuesday: The “All You Need is Lovecraft” Edition

Ho-wdy, Fright Fiends!

Lovecraft is in the air this #terrortrailertuesday! We’ve summoned up some trailers for some of the most eldritch H.P. Lovecraft adapations known to man or Great Old One! These ancient, terrible trailers are of an unutterable and blasphemous ho-rror so great that they can drive mortal minds to pure insanity… so enjoy! And remember, Kinky Kreeps…

Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn!

From the nightmare corpse-city of R’lyeh, here are… THE TRAILERS!!!

#TerrorTrailerTuesday: The “DIEs and Dolls” Edition

Ho-wdy, Toys and Ghouls!
Annabelle: Creation is creepy-crawling into theaters this week, eXXXpanding the Conjuring universe in terrifying fashion. While you’ll have to wait for next Shriek-end to read our thoughts on the film, we’re getting all dolled up for ya now with the most putrid playthings committed to film!
What can we say… all dolls are freaky as all heck! If film has taught us anything (which it has), it’s that every single one of those creepy little bastards is possessed by the Devil and/or a serial killer!  When they’re not trying to make you look insane to your loved ones or attempting to kill Catherine Hicks, they’re just sitting there… wordless… plotting their neXXXt misdeed. I tell ya kreeps, those monstrous mannequins are going to make dummies of us all!

It’s playtime… check out the #TerrorTuesday trailerage below:

#TerrorTrailerTuesday: Peter Cushing’s Hammer Frankenstein Films

Ho-wdy, Franken-Freaks! Welcome to #TerrorTrailerTuesday, a new feature on the site on which we eXXXhume the spook-tacular trailers for a cl-ass-sick fright film series, the flicks of a ho-rror icon, or monster movies featuring a certain kind of creature. Today we’re stealing fire from the Gods, desecrating graves, and going to pieces for Peter Cushing’s Dr. Frankenstein!
Is there any mad scientist madder than Peter Cushing’s Frankenstein? This quack dives head-first into depravity and never comes up air! While he has been portrayed in a somewhat heroic light (Evil of Frankenstein, ironically enough), he’s usually the biggest creep in the tomb. Cushing’s brilliant portrayal is both endlessly chilling and weirdly charming, the latter makes his ghastly deeds all the more ho-rrible.

It was a stroke of mad genius on Hammer’s part to make Cushing’s mad doctor the focus of their Frankenstein films, for no ghoul can compare to the great fiend who makes them. And there is no greater fiend than Cushing’s Frankenstein. With Cushing, the doctor was always in… sane. 🙂

Without any further a-boo, here are the trailers for the Cushing Frankenstein films!
